橙缘歪片熠螢 Lopsided Flasher

Morphological features：

Male body length 11-12 mm, elytra black, with orange margins; abdominal tergite 8 strongly asymmetrical; light organ occupying almost the entire ventrite 6 and 7. Light organ of female occupies ventrite 6.

Distribution：

Widely distributed in the Pearl River Delta region of China, including Dongguan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, and other areas; as well as Maoming and Jiangmen in Guangdong, Xishuangbanna in Yunnan, and Lantau Island in Hong Kong.

Adult flight period：

May-August.

Additional Information:

The larvae primarily feed on snails.

形态特征:

雄萤 体长11-12毫米，鞘翅黑色，具有明显的橙色边缘，发光器位于整个第6腹板和第7腹板。第8腹背板强烈歪斜且不对称，这也是它名字“歪片”的来源。雌萤的外观类似雄萤，但仅在第6腹板上有发光器。

分布地点:

广布于中国珠三角地区（东莞、广州、深圳、佛山等），广东茂名、广东江门、云南西双版纳、香港大屿山

成虫活跃月份 :

5月-8月。

其他资料:

幼虫主要以蜗牛为食。
